New Oakland Child-Adolescent and Family Center and its affiliated treatment
programs provide a wide array of services to children-adolescents and families living in Macomb,
Oakland, Wayne, Livingston, Genesee and Washtenaw counties. We serve children and teens that
are behaviorally and/or emotionally impaired, are dually diagnosed, have been neglected/abused
or abandoned, are medically fragile and/or are multiple handicapped.
Across our five metro-Detroit Centers, the FACE to FACE State of Michigan
Licensed Psychiatric Partial Hospital Program (PHP) and affiliated treatment programs provide
both short and long-term therapeutic services. The overall goal of New Oakland and the
FACE to FACE PHP is to improve the lives of children by strengthening and
empowering the family unit to become self-sufficient, stable and competent. Program services
include anger management, coping skills training, social living skills and life management
training and on-site medical, psychological and psychiatric services. Services also include
a highly structured, intensively supervised, age-appropriate group and individual treatment
milieu.
This broad continuum of care allows New Oakland to custom fit program services to better meet
the individual along with the unique needs of the child and family unit. We recognize that
in serving children, youth and families, we are assisting a population whose needs are
constantly evolving and have tailored our programs to respond to those ever-changing needs.
